Comparison of plug types in e-mobility

Vergleich von Steckertypen in der E-Mobilität

Mona Lindenmeyer |

Which socket do you need for different electric vehicles? What voltage and power do the power connections have?

A comparison of common charging cable connections and sockets for e-mobility.

The most common and widespread connection is the Schuko socket, which can be found in every household. At a voltage of 230 volts, the battery of your electric commercial vehicle can be charged with a charging power of 2.3 kW.

In general, the higher the charging power (kW), the faster the battery will fully charge. Charging the last 10% of the battery capacity takes the longest.
